Overview

The Marketing Assistant will work with team members in various capacities that may include projects such as company newsletter, press releases, website design, creation of marketing collateral, expo/event preparation, direct mail campaigns and the overall development of marketing strategies and implementation. The Marketing Assistant will be exposed to many aspects of the organization and participate at various events, meetings and programs. This individual will also carry out additional duties as assigned by the department.

Responsibilities

  1. Supports the departments with writing projects such as producing the company newsletter, press releases, promotion literature, website content and other communication vehicles 
  2. Assists management with media relations for various news stories through local media avenues  
  3. Participates in planning, organizing and implementation of community and company events, health fairs and programs that promote the organization and services (some nights and weekends may apply)
  4. Assists management/Information Technology with the organization’s website redesign efforts
  5. Communicates with hospital personnel and community partners
  6. Provides administrative support to the operations department to include but not limited to meeting coordination, telephone back up support and other duties as required
  7. Develops marketing collateral for the organization with the support of management
  8. Researches reliable data sources to increase marketing/community relations activity and improve the patient experience
  9. Engages in cleanup activity ensuring accurate organization information is displayed online and in phone directories      
  10. Contributes to the development and implementation of the organization’s marketing plan
  11. Works with CMED Marketing Director to ensure brand standards are adhered to

Qualifications

  1. Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  3. Basic understanding of digital marketing
  4. Must have good organizational skills. Experience organizing events is a plus
  5. Due to the various interactions with internal and external departments, the position requires someone who will maintain a professional working relationship with all members of the department and other departments within the organization, serving as a courteous and responsive team member.
