The Medical Assistant (MA), under direction from a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or physician, performs routine clinical and clerical functions to assist providers in the delivery of patient centered medical services for assigned departments within the CMU Health faculty group practices (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Endocrinology, etc.…).  Patient care activities are identified and staffed based on clinical operations needs and as directed by the Clinical Manager.

The Graduate Medical Education Office provides management and administration of the residency training programs for CMU Medical Education Partners in Saginaw.  This oversight function includes but is not limited to ongoing maintenance of institution and program-level accreditation, appointment of resident trainees and assurance that clinical educational objectives are met.   The Executive Administrative Assistant (EAA) will work in concert with the Designated Institutional Official and the entire GME Department to achieve the goals stated above.  The EAA will also serve a key role in the successful representation, coordination and operation of the Graduate Medical Education by performing a variety of complex administrative/clerical functions to ensure that the office functions efficiently and effectively.     The individual selected will be an organized, dynamic self-starter who will coordinate the routine and ad hoc medical education functions, events, presentations and reviews that are inherent in the oversight described above.  The position requires a high degree of professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle/process confidential matters appropriately.   In addition, the applicant will have a proven ability to be task and results oriented as multiple priorities are handled.

Position requires utilization of clinical knowledge to schedule appropriate procedures/surgeries per provider’s orders.  The Surgical Scheduler must schedule office based and hospital procedures consistent with the patient’s diagnosis and procedure request.  Also requires excellent customer service skills with patients, employees and the public.  The Surgical Scheduler must be able to respond to both written and oral correspondence regarding scheduling changes/cancellation in a timely, accurate manner.  Individual must be organized and be able to manage demanding workload with accuracy.

The Endocrinology APP will be involved in a variety of patient care activities, conducted under the supervision of designated attending faculty, and in close collaboration with the residents of various residency programs (as applicable).

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing nursing support to assist in patient care for assigned departments within the CMU Health faculty group practices (OB/GYN).  Patient care activities are identified and staffed based on needs and as directed by the respective Clinical Practice Coordinator/Clinical Manager to ensure the delivery of nursing services in all clinic operations. 

Performs accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting activities; Maintains a uniform accounting system; Prepares financial reports; Participates in annual audit; Performs related accounting and clerical work as required.

The Psychologist will be an independently licensed provider with knowledge of behavioral medicine and the implementation and coordination of mental health care in the outpatient clinic. The Psychologist's primary duties will be psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, crises interventions, psychotherapy, and care management services. The Psychologist should have a wide range of clinical experience with a variety of populations from all age groups.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, particularly in handling prior authorizations for medical procedures, tests, and treatments. The OB/GYN Patient Scheduler is responsible for supporting the needs of the OB/GYN department, receiving and directing patients/visitors to appropriate locations, phone call encounters, scheduling visits, recording insurance and demographic data.  An OB/GYN Patient Scheduler must exhibit a friendly and helpful affect towards parties within and outside the corporation.  All duties are based on clinical operations needs as directed by the Operations Manager.

 The Part-Time Medical Assistant (MA) has the option to work 2-3 days, 8- or 10-hour shifts, we are flexible to accommodate you! Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine and CMU Health – in Saginaw, MI – is looking for full-time BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to join our team.  This role includes resident and medical student education.  There is an opportunity for a formal educational position, for those who desire programmatic leadership and have the requisite experience. The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner provides mental healthcare treatment for patients along the lifespan (adults and/or children) in an outpatient and inpatient setting. Treatment includes assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the patient care among a multi-disciplinary team.

The Coder works in direct support of all clinical programs, ensuring professional physician services are properly coded prior to billing.

The Clinical Therapist role will consist of running a full-time clinical case load with 60 minute client visits.  The candidate will be required to do intakes as well as treatment of mental health disorders while coordinating care with medical professionals. This role requires competency in the following: intake assessment, diagnosis/treatment plans, rapport building and ethical use of therapeutic techniques.
